MintLeads has become an incredibly successful lead generation agency. In fact, it was named Inc. 5000's fastest-growing company in Georgia for 2024. What made the difference was building a custom sales CRM with Glide that used AI and automation to remove the vast majority of busywork from their sales team’s daily processes.

“We've been scaling like crazy,” said Jack Foley, the Director of Strategic Initiatives at MintLeads, “And a big part of our success is focusing on sales and making that system through Glide. It's become a crucial part of our operations on a day-to-day basis.”

Reducing manual work in sales enabled them to scale by 1,500%

Before Glide, prep and follow-up for sales calls took up too much of the team’s time. “There wasn't a lot of preparation that went into booking sales calls, there wasn't a lot of automation, and it was very manual.” They couldn’t personalize their pitches as effectively because it was harder to collect prospect details, and the whole sales process took a lot of time and effort.

“One of the things that Tanner, the CEO, instilled in how we run things is to make the sales system will work for our sales guys, not our sales guys work for the system,” Jack explained. That inspired them to build a custom dashboard that would deliver every detail the sales team needed, exactly when, where, and how they needed it.

“It's at least 15 minutes saved per call. Saving that amount of time allowed us to double the number of calls we could put on our salespeople's calendars. That translates directly into the raw output of closed deals,” he said. “Now it's all automatic. We can have our sales guys go from back-to-back calls. They can just close deals and don't have to worry about the constant, mundane, boring part of sales.”

AI enables their sales team to close more deals

“We use AI in nearly all of our projects on Glide, whether it's the native Glide AI or the OpenAI integration, Jack explained. “We use it to augment our teams’ work significantly.” The sales dashboard uses AI to save time for the team and help them close leads more effectively. Because of this, they are now closing over 3x as many deals with the app as they were before they built it.

When a salesperson logs into their dashboard and enters a lead, they get an AI-generated summary of all the current information for that lead. Data is pulled directly from their HubSpot and other software using the Glide API, and it automatically updates HubSpot if the salesperson needs to update any of their information live.

They can easily disposition the lead after the call (or even before the call concludes). With just one button, they can mark the lead as no-show, long follow-up, disqualified, or indicate that the lead is ready for a proposal. That kicks off a process that automatically creates a proposal based on the call notes and sends it to the salesperson’s Gmail account as a draft that’s already addressed to the lead. All they have to do is quickly review it and hit send, and the prospect gets a detailed proposal right in their inbox moments after they get off the phone.

“They'll be in the last five minutes of the call and filling this out as they're discussing the pricing with the lead,” said Jack. Getting such a quick follow-up alongside a detailed and customized proposal makes potential customers much more likely to accept, leading to a skyrocketing close rate.

Glide saves MintLeads time and money throughout the business

The success of the sales dashboard inspired Jack to build Glide apps to improve many more processes.

One is a customer portal so they could provide an exceptional experience for their clients, giving them full visibility into their lead pipeline and the performance of their campaigns. “It saved us a ton of time by reducing the number of times our clients had to ask our customer success team, hey, what's going on?” he said. “Glide helped with our client satisfaction because it helps build that trust factor. A lot of companies that are our size, um, or even larger, just don't have dashboards like we do, it helps differentiate our business.”

Another is an AI-powered hiring app that pre-screens and categorizes applicants to help them keep up with the demands required by the company’s growth. He even created an app that automated the process of creating and organizing the phone numbers they need to generate every time they open a new Google account for a client’s email campaigns. “This app alone saved us roughly $500 a month, and decreased account creation time,” said Jack.

“We use Glide across our entire organization. We have 9 apps, including our sales app, internal dashboard, client portal, and even our sandbox where we develop new features.”
